Hearst Castle Fire

This was the site of the 2021 Hearst Castle Fire, a wildfire that burned approximately 400 acres on the historic Hearst Ranch property. The fire threatened but did not damage Hearst Castle itself, which has since reopened to the public. The area is part of the scenic landscape visible from Highway 1 near San Simeon.
