Big news for Ventura County families: Ventura County Medical Center just cut the ribbon on a brand-new Breast Health Center, and it’s a game-changer for local women’s health. The dedication ceremony on May 29 celebrated a $2 million RISE grant that made this possible, bringing top-tier breast imaging and diagnostics right here to our community. As Vida Newspaper reported, this center means shorter waits and better access to life-saving screenings for Oxnard residents and beyond. For too many of us, getting a mammogram or follow-up care meant long drives or delayed appointments. Now, with this expanded facility, early detection is more within reach—and that saves lives.
