Firefighters Quickly Knock Down Structure Fire at Back of Painted Cave Property

Firefighters made quick work of a structure fire Thursday afternoon in the Painted Cave area, knocking down flames that had spread to a single-family home and an outbuilding. Santa Barbara County Fire crews responded swiftly, preventing further damage in the rural, brush-prone community northwest of Santa Barbara. The cause remains under investigation, but no injuries were reported.
