San Miguel murder suspect identified

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office has identified the suspect in this week's fatal shooting in San Miguel, and authorities say the killing grew out of a domestic dispute between a husband and wife.

Jose Sevilla Ruiz, 66, is accused of shooting and killing his wife, 60-year-old Reyna Espinosa, inside a residence in the 500 block of River Road in San Miguel on Monday night, according to the Sheriff's Office. Ruiz fled the scene before deputies arrived, but was tracked down and arrested without incident Tuesday morning in Wasco, a city in Kern County roughly 120 miles east of San Luis Obispo County.
